"Cameron Diaz was spotted in Santa Monica on the set of "My Sister’s Keeper" yesterday, in which she plays the sister of a girl with leukemia. In the movie, Cameron’s character shaves her head as a show of support. In reality, Cameron took the easy way out and used a cap and makeup. So now this movie about sick little kids looks like some kind of alien invasion project. She looks like that little kid from X-Men 3. A real actor would have shaved their head. Daniel Day Louis would have actually given himself leukemia."

A comment on acting.
Not a crisis, not political, not even sports- but funny, probably because it's true- so I had to share.

As a Texan from Boston...thoughts on your adopted state's Supreme Court ruling?
The one about the FLDS kids?
Because that pisses me off- on one hand, as a parent I want there to be checks in the way children can be removed from their families. On the other hand as a recovering member of whacked out cults I feel for those kids so much. Nevermind that everyone knows that the abuse is going on, so it's got to be especially frustraing for the prosecutors. There has to be a way to do the right thing for those kids without breaking the law to do it.
As flawed as it is, our legal system exists for a reason, and I really believe that even following the law, intelligent and well meaning people can accomplish what they need to to improve society. The concept of precident exists for a reason, why judges are afraid to set them is beyond me. This is probably a case where precident will need to be set. Parents rights are so important, but even in Texas children aren't property, and their freedoms need to be protected too.
Effing religion, things would be so much easier without it.
Has the State Supreme Court ruled on anything else stupid lately or is that what you were talking about? :o)
